65 Wellesley St. begins a transformation marked by the Rexall drugstore façade renovation. The new façade is a response to the building’s aging design trends and its interface with the street. New materials and colours are employed to extend the office building’s redbrick and brown mullion palette. Views hindered by the brick columns and spandrels are opened by a two story curtain wall offering immediate visual access deep into the spaces within. It stands as a precedent for the emerging second level retail use and resulting exterior treatment for the remaining north and east façade.
